Are you just going through the motions?

Are you constantly going through the motions. You wake up, make breakfast, say a prayer and go about our day. Maybe the house gets cleaned, maybe not. Dinner is ready when it’s ready. It was served 6pm last night but tonight it’s looking more like 7:30-8. The kids are screaming and fighting. Hubby is home, but where the heck is he? This home is in chaos.

Let’s say your house is clean and your family is fed. But something just feels missing from your life and you just can’t put your finger on it. You are not truly happy where you are and what you do for your family. There should be more to this, but you don’t know why you feel this way or what to do about it.

I’ve been there. For a long time, I have been struggling. My home wasn’t spotless, but it was clean. I stayed in the kitchen making sure my family was fed. I homeschooled my kids and was doing what I thought was right. But something wasn’t right.

I would end the day exhausted. I gained weight and started having health issues. My marriage was just hanging on. And my kids were out of control. Even though my home looked happy to an outsider, it was everything but.

This has to stop.

It took me years to figure out that I was out of balance. There was no quality time spent building and strengthening relationships inside the home. We weren’t really a family, we were just living together. And I was obviously neglecting myself which led to a tired, cranky, resentful, bitter woman.

I wanted more and I was struggling trying to find what that more was and how to get it.

If this sounds like you, I can help.

As I gain more knowledge on who I am and my purpose, I see so many homes that are living in chaos when it should be a place of peace. So many women are struggling with this part of homemaking, and there just hasn’t been a solid resource created to help them create that peaceful sanctuary their family needs. So I decided to build it. Let me explain the what’s, why’s, and how’s right now.

Some people are good at creating a strict schedule and sticking with it no matter what. And some people allow lots of distractions to take over their day. The key to managing your home is finding a balance that works for you through routines, planning, and time management. Certain skills like cooking, cleaning, and home management can be a lot to learn but with the right tools and a few hacks learned from others, you can take care of business.

Managing your home also includes home maintenance, yard/garden maintenance, and home decor. Even though you may not know how to do a few of these things, you will be able to get these done by learning how to be a manager of your home.
